The Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction (PEDRR) is a global alliance under the aegis of UN of which United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is a key player. NIDM and UNEP are jointly organising a 4 days International Training Programme on "Ecosystem Approach to Disaster Risk Reduction (Eco-DRR)" during 12-15 December 2011 at NIDM, New Delhi, with participation from few countries from South Asia and South-east Asia.

Under this programme issues like ecosystem services, livelihood, role of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), environmental law, policies in relation with disaster risk management will be discussed.
