18th Symposium on earthquake engineering
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
- English
The 18th Symposium on Earthquake Engineering (18SEE-2026) will be hosted by the Department of Earthquake Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (India) during December 10-12, 2026.
Organized every four years since 1959, the Symposia on Earthquake Engineering (SEE) have played a pivotal role in advancing earthquake engineering education, research, and professional practice in India. The 18th edition provides a timely and important platform to review recent scientific and technological progress, present ongoing research, and shape future directions aligned with national and global resilience, disaster risk reduction and sustainability goals. In light of recent devastating earthquakes worldwide, the symposium underscores the urgent need to strengthen knowledge and promote the effective implementation of earthquake-resistant construction practices.
