Stop Disasters game: Lesson plans and supporting material
Introduction
This page brings together ready-to-use lesson plans, classroom activities, and teaching guides for the Stop Disasters online simulation game, developed by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).
Designed for middle and high school students, as well as adults, the game challenges players to design safer schools, towns, and villages while managing budgets and preparing for natural hazards such as tsunamis, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, and floods.
Educators can use these resources to introduce key concepts of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation, and sustainable development.
