Mission
山田町（やまだまち）は、岩手県沿岸中部の三陸地方に位置する、太平洋に面する町。
中心的産業はリアス式海岸を利用した養殖を中心とする漁業や観光であるが、山間部を中心に中小工場が稼働している。
2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災で、中心街を含む海岸部が大きな津波被害を受け、復興に取り組んでいる。

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
