General Description

The Resource Development Manager will ensure that the Yen Center becomes a productive facility that generates revenue to support programs in Asia and in the Philippines. This requires greater organizational, management, business planning, Public Relations and entrepreneurial skills. As resource development manager, he/she will fundraise for Asia and Philippine programs by creating strategic partnership with donors and other development organizations in the Metro Manila area, the Philippines and abroad. This requires in-depth knowledge of development issues, proven record of accomplishment in fundraising and proposal wring skills. The staff will reside in IIRR campus in Silang, Cavite but will hold a liaison office in Makati, Manila as needed. He/she will reports to the President and coordinates closely with the Officer in Charge, Regional Center for Asia and Yen Center team. The following are key functions and requirements for the post.

Key Function:

1. Yen Center
Ensure planning, management, maintenance and maximum utilization of Yen Center facility. More specifically:
1.1 Ensure maintenance of the Yen Center facilities (housing units and office building) will be managed and maintained effectively and efficiently to provide conducive learning and reflection venue for international trainings, study missions and home for staff.
1.2 Develop and make the land productive for effective utilization as a learning and demonstration site of appropriate and environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and other innovative solutions.
1.3 Ensure effective marketing and maximum use of the facilities and its various products and services to generate revenue that will support the institute’s development work.
1.4 Use the facilities to conduct public gatherings like seminars, conferences, symposiums as well as leadership and team building trainings.

2. Asia and Philippine Program
2.1 Generate concept notes and grant proposal in coordination with Philippine country and Asia regional programs staff for program fund raising
2.2 Develop, manage and maintain strategic partnership/relationships with donors including bilateral, multilateral, corporate donors and external networks
2.3 Support Asia program team to raise unrestricted fund by creating contacts and network with development organizations to use IIRR services like trainings and study mission
2.4 Manage and update donors databases for use by program staff

Requirements

• Masters degree in Business Administration or anagement or its equivalent
• At least seven (7) years experience in a senior managerial capacity in fundraising and selling organizational services: training, facilities, publications
• Have strong organizational, planning and business management skills and experience
• Demonstrated track record of writing project proposals and obtaining grant funding for development projects from institutional donors
• An excellent communicator ability with strong team-building and leadership skills
• Have good network and connections with credible organizations
• Strong computer skills with ability to use IT for marketing and fundraising
• Ability to organize events like public gathering and represent IIRR with confidence
• Have strong persuasive ability and have entrepreneurial skill
