Seiyo is a city located in Ehime Prefecture, Japan. Seiyo is located in southeastern Ehime Prefecture, with Uwa Bay on the Seto Inland Sea to the west, and with the Shikoku Mountains to the east.

During the typhoon season, coastal areas often experience damage from storm surges and high waves, and mountainous areas often suffer from landslides caused by heavy rain.

In the event of a Nankai Trough mega-earthquake that is predicted to occur in the future, it is predicted that a tsunami of up to 7 meters will reach the area.

Voluntary Commitments

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
