The Climateworks Centre guide to credibility for corporate climate transition plans
This guide sets out seven credibility criteria and 31 associated subcriteria that companies, investors and regulators can use to develop or assess climate transition plans. The criteria focus on the mitigation of climaterelated transition risks, including emissions reduction strategies, as well as transition-related opportunities.
Credible transition plans benefit not only the companies that develop them but also the investors and regulators who rely on them to make informed decisions. As investors align their portfolios with Paris Agreement goals, companies with credible plans - aligned to all seven criteria - are better positioned to attract and retain capital.
