Urban Resilience to Climate Extremes

This course will be in a face-to-face modality. It will be scheduled from December 11 to 15, 2023. 

Short course introduction

Asia is urbanizing at a rapid pace and is now home to 17 of the world’s 33 megacities. This rapid pace of urbanization has contributed substantially towards regional economic growth but also created numerouschallenges for the Asian cities/urban centers. Decision-making between the global pandemic, maintainingpublic health and the need for economic progress.

This course is designed to raise the knowledge of participants on effective solutions and approaches for creating, maintaining and strengthening urban resilience. It is organized in partnership with the International Urban Resilience Academy of the University of Southern Denmark. The course will lead to the development of core skills and competencies for resilient urban transition, including fundamentals of urban resilience in research, climate science, international and national policies, and resilience in action.

Course fee

$1,300 (without accommodation) | $1,600 (with accommodation)

Fees are inclusive of course materials (soft copy), cost of instructions and course certificate. For face-to-face training, fee is inclusive of morning and afternoon snacks and lunch during the course.
