Empowering communities to prepare for cyclones
This publication sets out the impact of the Community Based Disaster Preparedness Programme in Bangladesh - a pioneering initiative to enable communities in the region to better prepare for cyclones and minimize their impact on their lives and livelihoods.
The programme was run between 1996 and 2002 by the Bangaldesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) with technical and financial support of the German Red Cross.
