7th World Landslide Forum India 2026

About

The 7th World Landslide Forum (WLF7) will be held from 23–27 November 2026 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Faridabad (Delhi), India. WLF7 is a flagship triennial international event organised under the aegis of the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL), in collaboration with UNESCO and other United Nations system and international organisations.

WLF7 aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry experts, and international organizations working in landslide science, geohazard monitoring, risk assessment, early warning systems, and mitigation strategies. The event will facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange to support safer and more resilient communities in landslide-prone regions worldwide.

The forum will address key themes, including landslide disaster risk reduction, hazard mapping and risk assessment, remote sensing and monitoring, testing and mitigation techniques, scientific advancements in landslide research, and regional case studies. Under each theme, multiple technical sessions, workshops, and special events will be organized.

Attendance

Participants are invited to submit full papers (presentation with publication) or extended abstracts (presentation only), or to attend. Accepted full papers will be published in the ICL Open Access Book Series – Progress in Landslide Research and Technology (P-LRT).

The event is particularly relevant to stakeholders involved in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, geoscience research, infrastructure safety, and sustainable development in mountainous and landslide-prone regions.
