Mission
The Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN), located in New Delhi, India, works to enhance knowledge and action towards the recognition and full implementation of the human rights to adequate housing and land in India.
This involves gaining a safe and secure place for all individuals and communities, to live in peace and dignity. The organisation focuses on the most marginalized populations living in inadequate housing conditions, in informal settlements or homelessness, and those facing evictions or displacement. The organisation's mission is that every human being, irrespective of their caste, religion, gender, sexuality, class, age, and ability, has the right to adequate housing and land, which involves gaining a safe and secure place to lead a life with dignity
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
