Paying the price: The economic impacts of climate change for Canada

Source(s):  National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRT)

This fourth report in the NRT's Climate Prosperity series is the first national study to show what the economic consequences to Canada could be as a result of climate change. It shows the uncertainty of estimating economic impacts of climate change and increases Canadians understanding of how to assess climate risk and their willingness to accept — or not — the probability of more damages for future generations. It then identifies how adaptation measures can reduce those costs, saving money and lives.
