This is the English edition of a textbook produced with the assistance of DANIDA and ADPC. This manual presents; many traditional topics in Disaster Reduction, including; Fire, Flood, Drought, Pollution, Epidemic and Road accidents;extending;the concept of disaster by including chapters on;social ills such as addictive drugs, gambling and abuse of computer games. The presentation relies heavily on;pictures to show the sources of hazards as well as ways to avoid them and mitigate or escape;in case of emergency.
