St. Mary emergency management plan
The Parish of St. Mary is found on the North Eastern section of Jamaica. The parish is mainly hilly with a rugged Eastern section of shale rock an intricate web of surface drainage whilst the Western section is of limestone rock and mainly underground drainage. Its principal rivers are the Wag Water, Dry, Rio Nuevo and White Rivers.
This plan seeks to document the partakers of disaster management in St. Mary, their roles and responsibilities, available resources, critical infrastructure in addition to other relatable information. This plan covers all hazards; natural and man-made, technological and anthropogenic. This plan also makes provisions for medical emergencies such as disease and pandemics, provides guidelines for handling refugee situations and any other emergency requiring a coordinated response within St. Mary.
