Record of 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake / Tsunami

The report classifies the damage patterns for different structural categories and briefly discusses the root causes of this damage. Based on the results of their investigation the organizations have conducted a site investigation on the designs on damaged buildings. In addition, the document elaborates on the effects of building openings and buoyancy and proceeding with the elucidation of mechanisms for causing damage and the identification of tsunami loads on buildings.

The report includes photos before and after 11 March, 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami affected areas with 2011-2014 recovery process of the area including detailed analysis of damages to houses and buildings due to tsunami.
