Costa Rica: Plan nacional para la gestión del riesgo 2010-2015

This plan is prepared under Article No. 7 of Law No. 8488, which instructs the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Response (CNE) for its design and execution. The plan is a strategic planning instrument that seeks to implement the risk management policy through the comprehensive articulation of the processes related to risk management under the concept of subsystems within a National Risk Management System to delimit institutional competencies and, based on these, guide the allocation of resources, the organization and the verification and control mechanisms.
