France: Loi n° 2003-699 du 30 juillet 2003 relative à la prévention des risques technologiques et naturels et à la réparation des dommages

In order to promote the prevention of technological and natural risks and the compensation of damages, this law is divided into two separate sections: technological risks and natural risks. The first contains 37 articles that describe the control of urbanization around risky establishments, measures relating to the safety of personnel, compensation for victims of technological disasters, and various provisions. The second contains 47 articles on land use and development, works, financial provisions, provisions relating to the National Forestry Office, and various provisions.
