Fact sheet: stepping up international action on climate change - the road to Copenhagen

This fact sheet provides a background and introduces the main bodies and topics involved in the Copenhagen international climate change negotiations.

It consists of two parts: Part one provides an overview of the mechanics of the UN climate change negotiations and explains what the negotiating process leading up to Copenhagen looks like. Part two zooms in on the main issues in these negotiations: dealing with the impacts of climate change (adaptation), curbing emissions of green house gases (mitigation), finance and technology.
