This Country Climate and Development Report captures the interplay between development challenges and climate change and climate policies in Ecuador, with the objective of identifying synergies and tradeoffs. Ecuador is already facing severe consequences from climate-induced hazards like droughts, floods, and rising sea levels, and these impacts are projected to escalate due to climate change.
