Mapping of technical guidance and training materials to support the implementation of the United Arab Emirates Framework for Global Climate Resilience

This document maps the existing materials that can be drawn upon by parties and stakeholders to support their adaptation efforts, across different themes and sectors. While most resources predate the adoption of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Framework for Global Climate Resilience, they are nonetheless highly relevant to its implementation. Through this mapping, areas where the addition or updating of guidance or training materials will best benefit the implementation of the UAE Framework can be identified.

The results list nine key insights. Within these insights, the following points show:

• Materials vary widely in many factors - such as length and scope;
• Most materials were in English;
• The majority of resources are technical guidance documents;
• Only 21% were categorised as training materials.

The limitations of the mapped resources are thus highlighted, and measures to improve upon this knowledge base can be implemented.
