Evaluation of DFID-UNICEF programme of cooperation: investing in humanitarian action, phase III, 2006-2009

This report assesses the results and outcomes of the Programme of Cooperation from 2006–2009 Phase III, intended to strengthen investments in improved humanitarian preparedness and response. It includes disaster risk reduction (DRR), recognized as a key strategy of climate change adaptation and centred on national capacity building. It highlights that tools are being developed to help integrating DRR in UNICEF's country programming, and calls for greater investment in disaster risk reduction to promote it as a core component of country programming.
