This guide provides information about improving the wind resilience of Queensland homes located in cyclone prone areas. It contains information about the impacts of cyclones and guidance for strengthening the wind resilience of new and existing homes.

The guide is designed for use by homeowners as well as the building, design and construction industry. It is non-mandatory and can be considered in line with the Building Assessment Provisions contained in the Building Act 1975 and Queensland Development Code Mandatory Part MP 3.5.
