Climate change and disaster risk reduction: managing risks, sharing benefits
This document is an overview of WWF–Pakistan's climate change and adaptation programmes and interventions, including a series of projects addressing climate change impacts and focussing on adaptation activities that WWWF-Pakistan is currently implementing in Pakistan.
It reports on: (i) the 5-year 'Building Capacity on Climate Change Adaptation in Coastal Areas of Pakistan' (CCAP) project; (ii) interventions regarding coastal vulnerabilities and adaptation; (iii) the Indus for All Programme; (iv) operations in the Gilgit-Baltistan mountainous region of Pakistan; (v) the project on GLOFs; (vi) the Regional Climate Risk Reduction in Himalayas project (RCRRP); (vii) the project on Climate Change Adaptation through Watershed Management; (viii) alternate energy interventions across Pakistan; (ix) watershed management, coastal management and water reuse engagement; and (x) innovative
valuation work.
