Mission
World Intangible Cultural Heritage Federation (WICHF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting, safeguarding and promoting intangible cultural heritage, traditional knowledge and community-based cultural practices.
WICHF's mission is to strengthen community resilience by supporting the transmission of local knowledge, improving public awareness, and advancing culture-based approaches to disaster risk reduction, preparedness and recovery.
WICHF's activities include documenting traditional and indigenous knowledge relevant to environmental awareness, local adaptation and community resilience; producing educational and public communication materials; supporting community-based knowledge sharing; and promoting culture-informed approaches to risk communication, preparedness and post-disaster recovery.
WICHF also works on digital knowledge organization, public-facing cultural documentation, and international exchange related to heritage, sustainability and resilience.

Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
