This paper’s findings are the result of a qualitative methodology that included a review of the literature on the topic DRR and CCA relates to both international and domestic policy in Malaysia.
The purpose of this article is to examine the current gaps in Malaysia practices on disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change.
Climate change and disaster risks have been deemed to be the environmental perils that have accosted political, economic, social, and human systems. They have created a daunting challenge and dismal innervation to humanity.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
