United for Global Mental Health
Mission
United for Global Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for all, so that every person, everywhere, has somewhere to turn when they need support.
The organisation's goal is to build a world that enables good mental health for all. For people to get the support they need, decision makers from all organisations, employers and communities need greater education around the impact of poor mental health - and convincing of how best to address it. The team makes the case for increased financing, influences decision-makers to deliver rights-based mental health policies, designs and supports global and national advocacy campaigns, and advises on high-level engagement, strategy and programme design.
The campaign uses its expertise in advocacy, financing and campaigning to advance their vision and focus on four areas of strategic impact to measure our success. These guiding four areas of strategic impact are: rights, education, systems and finance.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
