Mission
The SRHR Knowledge Hub is intended to be a one stop shop for policy makers, practitioners and researchers working in the Africa region. The Knowledge Hub covers the nine core component areas of Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) - including health system strengthening - and aims to bolster the response through increasing access to, disseminating and facilitating the exchange of regionally specific knowledge, and to help fast track the attainment of the SRHR targets of the SDGs.
The SRHR Knowledge Hub is funded through the 2gether 4 SRHR program; an initiative funded by the SRHR Regional Team of Sweden. Fostering the “Delivering as One” UN agenda, it combines the unique strengths and contributions of UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF and WHO. It is implemented in partnership with Regional Economic Communities, civil society organizations, including people living with HIV, adolescents and young people, men who have sex with men, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual and intersex persons, and sex workers.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
