Mission
Root and Reason, the food resilience collective, is shaping change in the UK food system by cultivating informed, system-wide collaboration. Across all their work, three enabling conditions - Readiness, Accountability and Justice - act as lenses through which hey design and assess everything they do.
They are working to build a resilient food system that is prepared, empowered, and equitable, where change happens with people, not to them.
An independent, non-profit initiative, they connect actors at all levels, across sectors, disciplines and demographics, and empower them with the robust evidence they need to make informed decisions.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
