The Vietnamese government announced plans to build a centre on disaster prevention and develop regional 'master schemes' by the end of the year.
The Vietnamese government has approved a plan to update its program on disaster risk areas, mapping natural disaster warning. The program is aimed at evaluating the risks of all natural disasters within Viet Nam’s territory and establishing maps on areas of high risks of natural disasters and maps for natural disaster warning.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
