National Emergency Management Resource Center
Mission
The National Emergency Management Resource Center (NEMRC) has been sharing real-world wisdom on emergency management (e.g., event planning, CSR, continuity of operations, crisis communications, emergency preparedness audits, intelligence analysis) with clients around the world since 2007.
It serves as a back-office force-multiplier – dramatically increasing the depth of clients' bench while expanding capacity and building on local emergency management strengths.
Its team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds across countries and time zones. This allows NEMRC to share a truly global perspective of emergency management while breaking down silos that would otherwise prevent its consultants from learning from one another.
The NEMRC is a recognized 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization in the United States of America.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
