The overall goal of this plan is to create a conducive environment and to develop a coordinated and consistent framework for integrated actions to reduce drought risk and to improve preparedness to drought based on adaptive, resilience perspectives.
This document presents country’s disaster risks and natural hazards, such as flood, drought, earthquake and landslide, and discusses their interaction and consequences.
Regularly affected by different types of disasters, Moldova is continuously taking measures to reduce the risk from disasters, at the national and local levels. This Global opportunity will not go unnoticed either.
This assessment provides a clear analysis of the extent of the damage and losses caused by the 2010 floods and identifies financing needs required to formulate recovery actions, implement medium-term recovery plans and develop a long-term DRR strategy.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
