Mission
The Lancet Global Health focuses on disadvantaged populations, be they whole economic regions or marginalised groups within otherwise prosperous nations, with a preference for the following topics: reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health; infectious diseases, including neglected tropical diseases; non-communicable diseases; mental health; the global health workforce; health systems; surgery; and health policy.
In addition, they continue The Lancet's tradition of advocacy and health policy and aim to catalyse alliances between health-care professionals, the public, and policy makers to champion change based on the best evidence to deliver better health worldwide. They are committed to addressing the decolonising agenda in global health.
They publish a range of content types including Articles, Review, Comment, and Correspondence. They also publish Series and Commissions that aim to shape and drive positive change in global health.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
