Mission
L'Agence Togolaise de Presse (ATOP) is a press agency and a public national service. It was created by presidential decree in 1975, and acting as a public body, it falls under the supervision of the Ministry of Communication.
ATOP is headquartered in Lomé, the Togolese capital, where all information relating to Togolese community life is centralized for sorting, processing, and publication. The agency further has press correspondents throughout the country for local and national information, as well as a partnership with Agence France-Presse for international reporting.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
