Mission
Journal Media was established in 2010 as an independently-owned and managed media organization. The organization has since grown to multiple news publications and as a strong presence of online news in Ireland. The organisation has the mission to keep people well-informed and involved in the issues that are shaping Ireland.
The Journal is the organization's flagship publication with a mix of news, in-depth reporting, opinion, explainers and exclusives. The objective of this publication is to provide open access to quality journalism for online news consumers in Ireland, equipping readers to make informed decisions on those issues which impact their lives.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
