Mission
Through teaching and collaborative research, the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) discovers, designs and creates novel technologies and approaches to societal challenges—in service to the world, the nation, and our community.
The School bridges disciplines, both within engineering and the applied sciences and beyond, to prepare broadly trained leaders, to advance foundational science, and to achieve translational impact. SEAS is where engineering, foundational science and the liberal arts converge. Through education and research, we address global challenges and serve society.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
