    For over three decades, Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), alongside their 22 member communities, Maricopa and Pinal Counties, and more than 200 private investors, have been driving economic diversity, resilience and smart growth in one of America’s fastest-growing markets. Their public-private partnership model enables them to represent the broad economic base and opportunities in the region worldwide and consult global companies on location decisions.

    As a globally recognized leader in economic development, they work tirelessly to attract and grow quality businesses and advocate for Greater Phoenix’s competitiveness. Over the past 36 years, they’ve helped more than 1,075 companies establish or expand their presence in Greater Phoenix, creating nearly 195,000 new jobs and generating over $76.5 billion in capital investment for their region.

    The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
