The AFRICAP programme aimed to make agriculture and food production in sub-Saharan Africa more productive, sustainable and resilient to climate change.
Over 200 experts from the GCRF-Agricultural and Food System Resilience: Increasing Capacity and Advising Policy (AFRICAP) project spent four years working with governments, civil society and the private sector in Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. The team created an evidence base to underpin new country-specific policies in agriculture and food production.
The programme ended in April 2022.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
