Mission
Friends of Mother Earth is a nonprofit organization committed to protecting both people and the planet by promoting community-based, evidence-driven responses to climate and environmental challenges, with a special focus on Bolivia. We work alongside local communities to build resilience through disaster preparedness, public health initiatives, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable livelihoods. Our approach emphasizes localization, sufficiency, and ecological stewardship to help communities adapt to a rapidly changing climate while preserving the health of the Earth for future generations.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
