European Society of Medicine
Mission
ESMED is a global medical community. They support research that solves critical health challenges. ESMED believes healthcare is a fundamental human right that transcends borders, cultures, and economic circumstances. Excellence in medicine emerges through collaboration, not competition. They value evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and the power of diverse perspectives to solve complex health challenges.
They want to solve health disparities that divide our world, ensuring better health for everyone. By building a united global health community, they advocate for change that addresses the root causes of inequality and creates sustainable solutions for the most vulnerable populations.
They envision a future where global health isn’t just a concept but a lived reality. Where communities worldwide benefit from shared knowledge, coordinated action, and collective advocacy. Together, they’re working to ensure that better health becomes achievable for everyone, everywhere.
Their work extends beyond advocacy. They create tangible pathways for change through collaborative research and knowledge sharing. Through their peer-reviewed journal, they publish groundbreaking research, evidence-based policy frameworks, and clinical guidelines that directly address global health challenges. These publications serve as blueprints for healthcare systems worldwide, translating their vision into actionable solutions.
The driving force behind this mission is their member community of passionate healthcare leaders and researchers. They bring forward the breakthrough studies, innovative solutions, and critical analyses needed to tackle the world’s most pressing health challenges. Together, they’re shaping a future where better health is achievable for everyone, everywhere.

Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
