This short article offers a condensed view of the recent research on the economic costs of climate change for the EU, its countries, regions, and sectors.
The article offers new insights on adaptation economics in the EU and Member States. It explores key policy questions, and highlights areas in need of new economic research, notably on adaptation financing and the economics of transformational adaptation.
There is no doubt that both adaptation and mitigation will be necessary to reduce the impact of anthropogenic global warming on the economy.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
