Mission
Eurogroup for Animals is the pan-European animal protection organisation, with the primary focus to work in the interest of animals towards a society in which they are valued and respected as sentient beings. Through its network, the organisation protects animals by achieving better legislation, highest standards, enforcement, and by driving societal change.
As the leading animal welfare organisation in the European Union, Eurogroup for Animals has been the secretariat for the Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals of the European Parliament, since the intergroup's inauguration. Through this work, the organisation helps set in motion major pan-European campaigns to garner public support for animal welfare issues, as well as taking part in those organised by its member organisations.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
