Mission
Environmental Systems Research (ESR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It is an international journal designed to foster innovative and original research on environmental systems science and environmental management.
The journal aims to motivate and enhance the capacity of integrating environmental systems analysis to develop management solutions that are consensus-oriented, risk-informed, scientifically-based and cost-effective. The coverage of the journal includes new theoretical and application findings in the fields of systems science for environmental studies or closely related research areas.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
