Discover Cities (Springer)
Mission
Discover Cities is a fully open access, peer-reviewed journal that supports multidisciplinary research and policy developments across the field of urban science.
The journal aims to be a resource for researchers, policy makers and the general public for recent advances in urban research, and the range of interdisciplinary studies that focus on cities and urban life. As a fully open access journal, we ensure that our research is highly discoverable and instantly available globally to everyone. The journal particularly welcomes work that aims to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially Sustainable Cities and Communities; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and Responsible Consumption and Production.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
