Climate for Development in Africa
ClimDev-Africa, the Climate for Development in Africa initiative, is a joint Programme of the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB), mandated to:
- create a solid foundation for an appropriate response to climate change through research and policy analysis.
- strengthen the policy response to climate change by building the capacities of sub-regional and national organizations and guiding policy formulation.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
