Mission

The city of Hamedan is the capital of Hamadān province, west-central Iran. It is situated at the northeastern foot of Mount Alvand.

Located on the historical Silk Road and with a history of 2,500 years of civilization, Hamedan’s economy is based on agriculture and exports, especially garlic and grapes.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
