Mission
The Chambre territoriale des comptes de Nouvelle‑Calédonie (CTC NC) is the territorial audit chamber responsible for ensuring the lawful, efficient and transparent management of public funds across New Caledonia. As part of France’s system of juridictions financières, it conducts independent audits of local authorities, public institutions, and publicly funded bodies, and evaluates the performance and effectiveness of public policies. Its work strengthens accountability, supports sound financial governance, and contributes to the resilience of public services and institutions.
The chamber issues public reports, recommendations and budgetary opinions, helping elected officials, administrations and citizens understand financial risks and improve management practices. Its mandate covers the Government of New Caledonia, the three provinces, municipalities, public establishments and entities operating on customary lands. Through its oversight role, the CTC NC promotes responsible public spending, long‑term financial sustainability and improved delivery of essential services across the territory.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
