Mission
The Center for Climate and Security is a solutions-oriented, bridge-building research institute focused on tackling systemic climate and ecological security risks.
The Center breaks down silos across disciplines to ensure climate change considerations are integrated into security policies and security concerns are integrated into climate policy, both in the United States and countries around the globe.
The Center facilitates interdisciplinary policy development, conducts groundbreaking research and analysis, and hosts resources and communities of practice on the intersection of climate change and security challenges.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
