Multi-stakeholder and inter-agency platforms can help mobilize knowledge, skills and resources required for mainstreaming DRR into development and emergency policies, plans and programmes by providing coordination, analysis and advice.
The assessment provides estimates of losses in the aftermath of flooding in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the loss of production, income, livelihood and employment. It includes guiding principles for disaster risk reduction and sustainable recovery.
The aim of this workshop is to understand the nature, scope and importance of national platforms as a mechanism for advancing in disaster risk reduction at national and regional levels in the context of the HFA.
The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina has left the deep traces to public administration capacities to protect adequately population from consequences of natural and man-made disasters and major accidents.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
