The goal of Azerbaijan's DMP is to facilitate overall management of drought in a structured and planned manner with the most efficient and optimum utilisation of time, effort, and resources so that adverse impact on the community is minimised.
Presently, the whole mankind is getting more and more concerned about global environmental challenges and these issues are now being considered by the developed and developing countries of the world both at political and economic levels.
This report presents the institutional and legal framework for disaster risk reduction in Azerbaijan, and describes its common disaster risks and natural hazards, such as earthquake, landslide, flood and avalanche.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
