Save the date: Call for papers - Global Assessment Report 2019 (GAR19)

The production of the United Nations Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction 2019 (GAR19) is underway. As part of its development process, UNISDR will launch a call for contributing papers on May 15th 2018 through PreventionWeb, covering the following main chapters/themes:

  1. Country progress in implementation of the Sendai Framework for DRR and related SDG targets.
  2. Global risk trends
  3. National and local disaster risk reduction strategies
  4. Environmental, technological and biological hazards

Interested authors will be kindly requested to submit abstracts by 30th May. Authors of selected abstracts will be invited to develop full contributing papers for GAR 19 on 15th June, with a deadline for final submission by 15th August 2018.

This is a save the date message. Further information on the main chapters/themes and guidance for the submission of abstracts will be provided on 15 May 2018.
